A Rather Magical Marriage Proposal. Hmm...

Kids Trying Dark Chocolate For The First Time. Hmm...

Sweet, no, bittersweet ad out of Israel for dark chocolate. Poor kids... hehe

Learn It Young. Remember It Forever. Hmm...

A lovely little ad, with a rather powerful message, from the good peeps at Velocity Films and NotNorm advertising, for Scouts South Africa. It even made Ad Of The Day on ADWEEK. Nicely done, fellas.

John Oliver On LGBT Discrimination. Hmm...

LGBT Discrimination
This year’s gay marriage ruling was a milestone, but LGBT discrimination is still surprisingly legal. John Oliver explains why we need a federal anti-discrimination law.

Finally, A Return To Copywriting. Hmm...

Remember the last time you thought, "Hey, that's a really well-written ad..." ? A real ad, mind you... not an ad written for an advertising awards show... Me neither. Thankfully, the witty peeps at Grey Dusseldorf, yes Dusseldorf, thought it about time we did remember when it was. It's today, btw. Love the writing. Love the female voiceover especially. Love these ads.

John Oliver On Sex Education. Hmm...

Sex Education

Sex education varies widely between school districts, leaving many teens without comprehensive information. We made a video that covers what some schools are too embarrassed to teach.

An Art Exhibition Held Completely In The Dark. Hmm...

On October 15th, a very special art exhibition will be held at the Museum of African Design (MOAD) in Maboneng. The brainchild of two of my favourite people, Ross and Leigh-Anne Drakes, it's an exhibition by 20 of SA's best photographers, illustrators and artists, aptly called The Bright Night Project. I say "aptly" because the entire exhibition will be held in the dark, with only torchlight to guide you along your way. Load shedding jokes aside, it's a super cool idea. You'll get to explore one of the coolest design museums in the world, housing art specially created for the "blackout" event (hehe couldn't resist), for one night only, using torches that look like little suns. True Story. How rad is that? Exactly, pretty flippen rad. Do you know what's even more rad? Becoming a benefactor of the event by heading to their Indigogo fundraising page, securing your tickets to the event and supporting local art like a modern day Medici, if you will... Plus, it'll be the 2nd most fun thing you can do in the dark, if you know what I mean? Yeah you do... now go support local art and stuff. Go. Go make awesome.

Go.

John Oliver On The Surprising Lack Of Rights In Washington DC. Hmm...

Washington D.C. Statehood
Washington DC experiences taxation without representation. It's also missing from rhyming state songs. John Oliver and a group of singing children fix one of these problems.
