Inspired by real events from 100 years ago, this year’s Christmas ad from Sainsbury’s commemorates the extraordinary events of Christmas Day, 1914, when the guns fell silent as German and British armies met in no-man’s land, sharing gifts and even playing football together. See the vid below for the "story behind the ad" if you want to know more. Now, I suppose the point Sainsbury's is trying to make here is that despite what's gone on the entire year, and it has been tough for a lot of people, we should all use this time of year to share in happiness with as many people as we can, if only for a little while. I can get behind that. We all can, right? Right.
Thanks for the link, dad :)
