The Baddest Player In The NBA. Hmm...

A rad lil Nike ad for Kevin Durant, the so-called "baddest" player in the NBA. According to Nike anyway.

What Doing Things "Like A Girl" Really Means. Hmm...

Always - you know them as the feminine hygiene company that usually only make 30' ads with pads and women wearing white - well, they have finally created a piece of content that means something. Much like the people at Dove and their intention to make women feel more beautiful, Always wants to make sure that girls everywhere keep their confidence throughout puberty and beyond. Their first mission? Changing the perception of what doing things #LikeAGirl really means. Lovely stuff.

Gatorade's Smart Bottle. Hmm...

What a great idea. A Gatorade bottle that sends data to an app so the coaching staff can track each player's hydration levels and habits.

I Dare You To Watch This Entire Video. Hmm...

It was tough, but I made it through till the end. Okay that's not entirely true. Started surfing other sites with this in the background at about the 2 min mark. Hehe. See how long you can make it.

Humans. Give us a chance and we'll surprise the heck out of you.

Android. Coming To A Screen Near You. Hmm...

Android - soon powering screens of all sizes, across watches, phones, tablets, TV and cars. Cue Apple's retort aaaaaaaaaaand go! Apple? Hellooooo...? This thing on?

The Gunfighter. Hmm...

This is amazing. I mean I've never really been in to meta comedy western shorts narrated by Nick Offerman, but this little piece of awesomeness may just sway me.

Brad Pitt's Fury, A Sherman Tank And A Ton Of Nazis. Hmm...

April, 1945. As the Allies make their final push into Europe, a battle-hardened army sergeant named "Wardaddy" commands a Sherman Tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Brad Pitt, Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Jon Bernthal and Michael Peña star. This is gonna be good. Unless you're a nazi.

A Beer Fridge That Only Opens If You Sing The Canadian National Anthem Correctly. Hmm...

Love it. Imagine an SA version. Wonder how many of us know the entire South African anthem, 5 languages and all? If you've ever been to a Springbok game, you know what I'm talking about. I know I could use a refresher course. Especially if there's beer involved.

How Honest Are We On Facebook? Hmm...

It's isn't the most uplifting of vids, but there are some kernels of truth in there.

Wimbledon's Head Of Security. Hmm...

For years, pigeons ruled the roost at Wimbledon, disrupting play and delaying games at every turn. That is, until Rufus came along in 2000. Pigeons have been pretty scarce since then. Good job, Rufus.

A Short Film For An Oreo Mini. Hmm...

This just slaps a smile on my face every time I watch it. Could be the Dr Seuss-style writing/narration or the fact that I've just watched 2 minutes of Oreos. Damn you, Oreo. Damn you.

John Oliver Grills Dr. Oz. Hmm...

First Kiss But With Slaps. Hmm...

A crazy mutha named Max Landis gathered his friends both casual and close, paired them randomly, put them in a void, and asked them to hit one another in the face. Here's what happened... and yes, the biggish, bearded one is Haley Joel "I See Dead People" Osment.

Hipsters Hijack A New Craft Beer In SA. Hmm....

How do you launch a new, limited edition craft beer in SA? With hipsters, of course. Dirty, plaid-wearing, typewriter throwing, fixie-riding, limited edition craft beer-stealing hipsters. And then you launch a man hunt for these "ironic" fools on the Internet and you ask the public to help get your beer back in return for a free case of Limited Edition Garagista craft beer. Sounds easy enough. Simply like Garagista beer on Facebook and upload pictures of hipsters you suspect could be linked to the beer hijacking with the hashtag #Garagistasuspect - You can also use twitter or Instagram if you prefer. That said, from what I can tell, Garagista is only available in Cape Town. Havent seen is up in Joburg yet. Maybe it's on the way or maybe  they'll tell us that Joburg hipsters have stolen it all...  Clever marketing ploy brought to us by the clever peeps at FoxP2, of course. Nice one, foxes.  This campaign looks like a good time. Hipsters beware; we're coming for you...

Amazing Guitar-Playing Kids. Hmm...

Kid Realises He Has Eyebrows. Hmm...

Ladies, watch out. Baby Leon is coming for ya...

Nissan's "Off The Stage" Series. Hmm...

Here's an interesting content idea from Nissan. They're not the coolest brand by any means, so they came up with a way to appear cool or at least "cooler." They paid some up-and-coming indie bands to drive around LA in their cars and perform a song. Then they shot it for the web for a series they're calling "Off The Stage." I'm guessing they're trying to go after a younger demographic and music is a damn fine way to do it. That said, it's gonna take a lot more than some indie bands to make Nissan a relevant brand. But hey, it's a start...

Ogilvy Jhb Wins Radio Cannes Grand Prix. Hmm...

Sorry rest of the world, but a South African ad agency has won the Cannes Grand Prix for radio yet again. Usually, it's Net#work BBDO year after year. This time, it's Ogilvy Jhb and more importantly, it's my buddy Dave Krueger. Very proud of you, dude and the team around you. It doesn't get bigger than this. It also cements South Africa as the undisputed king of highly produced, well-scripted long-format radio advertising. Which is flippen awesome! More of that, yea? And while we're at it, let's go for a Cannes Grand Prix in Cyber next year. Kinda super fucking important.

All About eBoy. Hmm...

eBoy is one of my favourite artist collectives. Since 1997 they've been creating the most amazing art one pixel at a time. You may know of their giant 8-bit cities. I walk past their New York one block-mounted on my hallway wall every day. Makes me happy. Anyway, here's a little short film about their 8-bit awesomeness.
