Jan Van Riebeeck Was A Vampire. Hmm...

Last night I attended a very special book launch at Wolves. It was for a graphic novel called Rebirth, the first graphic novel I know of set in Joburg and about Jan Van Riebeeck as a vampire. There's also a plot line about The Dutch East India Company's true purpose as a council of vampires and the outbreak of HIV in South Africa just to add some relevance to the tale. It looks amazing, it reads like a hell of a story and it couldn't have created by a nicer group of people, I can promise you that. Took them 5 years to create btw. Anyway, for more info, check out their site, then do yourself a favour and buy yourself a copy. You won't be disappointed.
