That feel-good story you've been looking for to end the year on a high? Well... here it is. In May 2013 I, along with tons of others, posted about The Lost Letter Project, an endeavor to find the intended recipient of a letter from Lt. Joseph O. Matthews that was delivered to New Yorker, Abbi Jacobson nearly 70 years after it was sent. With help from her filmmaker friend, Todd Bieber and, of course, the internet Abbi and Todd personally delivered the wayward letter to Lt. Matthews’ family a little over a week ago. How awesome is that? Thank you Internet.

*Universe-sized air punch of awesomeness! Finally, a news channel that'll report, oh I dunno, unadulterated news instead of what board members want us to see. Get ready, world... a giant mirror is about to be held up before us.

Kung Fury is ridiculously awesome, over-the-top action comedy based on 80s cop movies / video games. For some reason, it lost all its funding. So they did the smart thing and headed to Kickstarter for help. In just 2 days they met their goal of over $200,000. But they could always use more cash for more awesome. Head over to Kickstarter to help 'em out.

It's been a crazy couple of months in the SA ad industry. Mostly cringe-worthy. Which begs the question, what would the legends of advertising say if they were still around to witness these debacles? Some shakes of the head, and of the index fingers no doubt... perhaps even an industry-wide lashing on agency and client side? Well, here's a view I think we can all agree on,expertly summed up on a little blog post by my good friend Su, on her personal blog Su Spills. If you're in the creative industry, I implore you to read her post. It's spot on, brilliant and true in every sense of the word. Truly inspiring stuff as we go into the new year. Check it out. Let it make you think about things. It's only your career after all. Click here.

Internet magician and prankster, Stuart Edge walked around Salt Lake City yesterday convincing homeless people he was an angel delivering presents from the big guy upstairs. Hit play and see what a little Christmas magic can do.
How cool is this? Internet prankster, Roman Atwood decided to give some down-on-their luck people a Christmas morning they'll never forget.

What a flippen fantastic idea! Get behind Netherlands-based start-up, TextTales, at their Kickstarter page. That said, I'm sure the porn industry is going to leap at this one.
Check out these exclusive party scenes from the 90s that CNN uncovered from the true world of Jordan Belfort, the real Wolf of Wall Street. Now, I really can't wait to watch the film.
Came across this awesome posting on Mental Floss. I'm certain there's something in here for everyone to take into the new year. Thought I'd share:
