It's a beautiful day here at Survival 5000 - arguably the world's manliest boys weekend ever, according to this blog post. The pic above is my view as I type this. It's serene, tranquil, untouched by human hands and left to simply delight any onlooker. Green hills for miles, trout dams, forests, birds, even a few zebras and impala running around. It's the perfect place to forget the world for a while and just breeeeeeaaaaathe... That said, behind me and not purposely not pictured, is the quaint, stone farm house we've rented for the weekend. The reason there's no pic is simple. It will only make you sad, and I don't want that. See, we've only been here one night and to describe the carnage and sheer inhumanity of what lies inside this once pleasant house as the exact opposite of the photo above wouldn't be entirely incorrect. That is all I can say for now. In the meantime, I'm going to attempt to wash off my sins from last night in one of the lakes on the property. So I'm signing off for the day. Also, there's barely any signal out here, so blogging is just not going to be conducive to the peaceful day I'm so looking forward to. Be well and if I survive this weekend, I promise to be a better human. And blogger.
