In the early hours of last Thursday morning, The Cango Wildlife Ranch, in Oudtshoorn of all places, welcomed a wet, slimy and cute as hell Pygmy Hippopotamus named Harry. Good thing too. He's one of only 3000 in the world. That said, just look at that fwace!!!!
Gotta hand it to Google. They apparently gave $1.25 million grant to The Centre Of Memory to digitise thousands of documents and images that illustrate the life and times of Nelson Mandela. Here's the cool part, instead of just scanning them and dumping them online for scholars to peruse, they've created a virtual museum experience — highlighting certain pieces from the archives, putting them in the context of Mandela’s life and then enabling you to go deeper into his history.If you have a few minutes, take a look. Super rad.
