Apple Made Its 1st iPhone In '83? Hmm...

Here's an interesting tidbit: the first Apple iPhone was actually dreamed up in 1983. I was 5 and still had lots of curly, Jewish hair. The phone, well, it was basically a landline with full, all-white handset and a built-in screen controlled with a stylus. Not bad for '83. More here at Mashable.

There were hipsters and DJ's and a party so sick it literally had to be thrown at a medical building. The Lister Medical Building to be exact. Heck, even getting there took some courage, as hordes of unruly neighbourhood dwellers held target practice in our honour, shooting fireworks at our cars as we drove towards the venue - true story. Think Fallujah, but in downtown Jo'burg. In the end, we made it to the 19th floor. We counted down to midnight and we flippen danced till the Goodfellas came to drive us home - just in time to set our eyes on the first dawn of 2012. Oh what a night indeed. Thank you all!
