Out Of Tragedy, Humanity. Hmm...

Hurricane Sandy has caused a lot of trouble for a lot of people, but she's also caused a lot of good. For the first time in years, people and corporations are setting aside their differences to help one another. They're sharing electricity, food and water. Cable giant, Comcast has unlocked all its WIFI hotspots along the East Coast  to help emergency responders and others affected by Hurricane Sandy access free Internet. Even AT&T and T-Mobile are stepping up their humanity, by burying the hatchet and joining together to share their GSM and 3G networks so that they can provide customers in New York and New Jersey better service in the face of spotty coverage and outages. They're not even charging roaming fees. It all goes to show that when push comes to shove, we can all get along if we want to. Pity it takes a shoving like Hurricane Sandy to do so.
