The Very First Jozi Craft Beer Fest. Hmm...

You'll hear a lot of hate about yesterday's Jozi Craft Beer Festival. About how they were turning people away at the gate. How the lines were too long... The fact that the fest sold out the day before may, I dunno, have something to do with it. Why people would still show up to an event when they know there were no tickets left is beyond the realm of retard. That fact is, I had a great time as did tons of others. I will admit the lines were too long for pretty much everything. It happens. They'll fix it for next year's fest. But you know what, it was all worth the wait. The beer was awesome. As was the food and company. So many familiar faces. Some with babies (which was weird) All smiling by the way. So many beers to choose from. So what if you had to wait 10 minutes in the glorious Winter Jozi sun? Not like you had a meeting to go to. Beer of the day, by far, was Devil's Peak IPA. Deflippenlicious! If you have the opportunity to taste it, bring along a giant mug or two. You will not be disappointed. And to all of you out there who didn't attend yesterday, next year maybe buy your tickets on time, eh? Excellent.
