Today Was All About Girls At SXSW. Hmm...

We were lucky enough to attend the premiere of Girls - HBO's latest, greatest show. It all came about two years ago when a young girl named Lena Dunham attended SXSW's Film Fest. She was inspired to direct a film for the festival and so the next year she submitted one. While it wasn't quite all there, the SXSW film committee saw something in her work and helped her nip and tuck her short film here and there. A year later she had an HBO deal and a new show called Girls exec produced by Judd flipped Apatow! It's Sex And The City meets Bridesmaids meets The Hangover meets Superbad. The writing is superb as is the acting and you will crave every episode. I know... I got to watch the first 3 episodes today and all I can say is I want more.
