McDonald’s UK has announced that it will be temporarily replacing the toy in the “Happy Meal” with a book, making it — at least for the duration of the giveaway — Britain’s biggest retailer of children’s books as they'll end up distributing over nine million copies of War Horse. I'd avoid McDonald's for a while though. All those screaming, crying children wondering where their crappy toys are. Either way, I'm totally for this kind of thing. Would love to see it happen here.
