Replace Face. Hmm...

George Dawe painted over over 329 portraits of Russian generals who were active during Napoleon’s invasion of Russia. Replace Face decided to turn them into something slightly more entertaining. Check out the addictive tumblr site here.

Drinks Politics. Hmm...

Pixar Better Watch Out. Hmm...

This has got to be one of the finest/strangest animated short films out there. It's about a racist barber in 1930s New York who removes his balding, bigoted head out of his ass after a magic trumpet arrives at his shop and makes him happy. Yup, that old chestnut.

Oh Happy Jew! Hmm...

First some delicious Chocolate Block from our friends at The Deli and now some sweet-ass earphones from the good peeps at Produce Sound. I don't know what my Rabbi is on about. Christmas is awesome.

Damn You Auto Correct! Hmm...

Find more of the 25 funniest auto-corrects of the year here. Big thank you Graeme Carr! You made my morning buddy.

Hmm... Of The Day

So an artist by the name of  Tyree Callahan has created a rather fascinating objet d’art — a 1937 Underwood Standard typewriter that is modified to paint with oils. Someone has loads of time on their hands, hey Tyree?

Making The Invisible Visible. Hmm...

For a second year, street art collective Mentalgassi are helping to highlight some of the year’s most prominent human rights abuse cases playing out around the world. The 6 individuals highlighted include Fatima Hussein Badi, who faces the death penalty in Yemen after an unfair trial, Jabbar Savalan, who is in prison in Azerbaijan for his peaceful anti-government activism (including comments he made on Facebook), and Natalia Estemirova, a Russian human rights activist whose murder has not been brought to justice. Mentalgassi transform large portaits of each individual into segmented strips that are applied to the slats of fences. At first the images aren’t readily visible and only come into focus suddenly from extreme angles, reinforcing the campaign’s theme, ‘making the invisible visible.'

There's Something About Coeur De Pirate. Hmm...

Meet Coeur De Pirate or Beatrice Martin as she's known to her friends. She's from Quebec, has strange tattoos and used to be an underage nude model. I have no idea what she's singing about, but I could listen to her all day. Check her out at coeurdepirate.com

Oh and here's a rad remix of one of her songs, Comme Des Enfants:

Your Daily Dose Of WTF. Hmm...
