How A Blog And Some Tweets Got A Macbook Thief Caught. Hmm...

Okay, not my Macbook. A designer named Joshua Kaufman in Oakland, California's Macbook. See, on March 21st it was "stolen" by the douchebah in the photo above. Kaufman went to the cops and was told they couldn't help. So using a rad app called Hidden, he was conveniently able to record all movements and actions on the laptop remotely including the built-in webcam. He snapped some shots of the thief, created a blog and began tweeting. Next thing you know Good Morning America hops on the story and the cops suddenly show up willing to help. On June 1st they "caught the thief" and got the laptop back. Now there are two ways to think about this story. 1) It's true or 2) It's an elaborate stunt to promote the Hidden app. Either way it's pretty cool.
