At one time or another, we've all been that poor shmuck, laden with shopping bags, wandering around the parking lot looking for our car that we swore we parked "right here!" Well, those days are now a distant memory... if you live in Santa Monica that is. A mall over there has just installed America's first camera-based 'Find Your Car' kiosk. Judging from the pic above, perhaps they should install a 'Find Your Stylist And Kill Them' kiosk as well. Anyway, apparently Ikea is interested in the system for Europe. Let's hope some malls feel the same way in SA. Read more about it here.
Last night, I had the honour of being one of only 200 audience members at Athol Fugard's multi-Tony Award winning play, Sizwe Banzi Is Dead. If any of you haven't seen it yet, do yourselves a solid and head to the Market Theatre ASAP! It truly is one of the most incredible stories about South Africa's past, written and performed to perfection. Leaving the theatre, all I could think aboutwas how much shit this play must have caused when it first came out during the Apartheid government's reign. My conclusion? The National Party must have soiled themselves twice daily.
