I'm a few months late to the party, but this is awesome. Go to the M&M’s “Space Heroes” website, drag the spaceship into your bookmark bar then jump onto any site you like…

Superb writing. Amazing direction. A fantastic and insightful idea that can live on forever. Droga 5, you never seem to disappoint.

A super rad fundraising party for 3 amazing South African ladies who'll be traveling from London to Mongolia to raise money for Cancer research and deliver an ambulance to a Mongolian hospital. Great bands. Great location. Great Price. Great Cause. If you choose not to go to this party you obviously hate fun and humanity.
Here's a little video to show you what all the hubbub's about.

It seems South African agencies just love, love, love to win BIG at Cannes. This time around it's the radio Grand Prix for some rather creepy Mercedes Benz ads created by Brent Singer and Jenny Glover that sound a little like this:
Well done you rascals!
Well done you rascals!

When Droga 5 first came out with this campaign a while back, it blew me away. Looking at it now months later, it's even more impressive. What do they put in the water over there anyway?

It's basically Subaru's middle finger to the car industry. Their attempt to break away from the pack by calling out every other car brand as mediocre when compared to their LIberty. Check out their super awesome, I mean mediocre site.

Mattress maker Fey&Co is using tweets to help people sleep better. Basically anyone who tweets #goodnight gets an invitation to lullaland - a site where boring tweets become, ahem, "lullatweets" - soothing melodies to help you catch some zzz's. Where would our industry be without buzzwords, eh?

Long story short, it was owned by a Greek playboy in the 70's who used it to take Liz Taylor, yes the Liz Taylor, to the hospital for some reason and now my very lovely friend Gia owns it. How flippen cool is that?!?!?! Read the full story here in the Sunday Times.

Season 1 was all a decades-old high school football rivalry that translated into one of the greatest ad campaigns ever and winning all the ad-world glory there is to win. Looks like Season 2, with hockey at its core, is following suit quite nicely. Well done on the D&AD Yellow Pencil. You guys deserve so much more... especially since Seaosn 3 is out now. Damn.

So friggen simple. So powerful.
So get this: A Toronto-based agency called Red Urban is asking Volkswagen fans to help them create the next big ad for the new VW Golf. Can't say I'm surprised. These days if you want your brand to be relevant, it's all about crowd-sourcing and inviting the public to participate. So it's pretty cool that not only will fans be picking the script, cast, car and music for this ad, their names will also appear in the credits at the end. Rather fitting considering it's for a car brand whose name translates as the people's car... no? Yes.

Blue Bottle Macchiato Pops
1 1/4 c. brewed espresso
1/4 c. heavy cream
1/2 c. milk (I used non-fat, but would recommend 2% or whole milk)
2 T. agave sweetener
Whisk together all ingredients in a medium bowl or 4-cup measuring cup. Taste the mixture and add additional sweetener to taste, if needed. Chill for ~1-2 hours until cold. Pour into popsicle molds and freeze as directed.

In its final campaign for Burger King, Crispin Porter + Bogusky have tapped into America's obsession with the Whopper once again. This time, with a cable channel where all there is to watch is, well, a Whopper spinning around a flame grill. If you stare at the Whopper for 5 minutes you get a free Whopper. If you stare at it for 10 minutes you get 2 free Whoppers... How? Random alerts pop up and different intervals asking you to select them with your cable TV remote. As you do so, you win. Ridiculous? Maybe but according to news reports, so far Americans have stared for over 300,000 minutes. If viewership continues at this pace, America will have stared at a spinning Whopper for 13,500 hours (810,000 minutes) before the weekend rolls around. I don't know whether to be impressed or worried about that. Either way, CPB I take my hat off to you. Your work for BK over the past 7 years has been inspiring. Pity they no longer see it that way.

This is just their teaser video for Perrier's new YouTube campaign that evolves the more it's shared online. What does this mean? Well, they devised a webvideo featuring unbelievably hot party people clubbing it up in what looks like the catacombs beneath Paris. They shot a few versions of it, one more raunchier than the next, literally with clothes melting off people. The more one video is viewed, the closer the next and more debaucherous video gets to being unlocked online. With 4.5mil views already and 3 videos released, it seems to be working quite nicely.

Here's the director's cut of Listernie UK's new TV ad, which is cool I guess... but what's really fun is their YouTube page where you get to basically torment midgets in tooth and gum costumes. Doesn't get better than that.

So last night was the grand opening of my good buddy Daniel's latest art exhibition at the Resolution Gallery. It's called DENCITY and I must say it's pretty rad. Tons of people showed up to see walls of amazing artworks created by algorithm, ipad and digital camera, then all beautifully printed and framed. There was even an interactive bit where you could create your own artpiece on a huge 50" HD screen using said iPad and digicam. Art in the digital age. Gotta love it. If you have a chance, go have a look.

Balkanology - a dance party concept where Gyspy, Hipster, Kugel and Boet all come together to dance their faces off to Balkan Gypsy House music. Sounds weird, I know. After all, when it comes to gypsies, Borat taught us all we need to know about them, right? And yet, somehow this concept just works. There's such an energy there. You find yourself bouncing around without even realising it. Last night was my first time attending one and alI can say is that unless you're strangely opposed to having radiculous amounts of fun, you should do everything in your power to attend the next one.

It's called Project Aura, a bicycle safety lighting system that, by its sheer design and the fact that you can't look awway from it's awesomeness, will save lives. I love smart people. They give me hope for the human race.

Immortalize Yourself is a new app developed to promote the start of True Blood Season Four. It takes data from your Facebook profile including friends, names and locations, and generates a bespoke video starring you, your friends and True Blood characters, based on storylines across the seasons of the show so far. Bloody brilliant if you ask me.

The Alamo Drafthouse Theater in Austin, TX doesn't allow anyone to sms during a movie. So when some idiot lady did, they warned her twice before kicking her out. When she called back later to bitch and moan, they decided to turn her f-bomb-filled message into a PSA which they now play before every R-rated movie.

LAMB, one of my favourite trip-hop groups of all time, are back with their first single in 8 years! It's called Another Language off their album 5' and you'd swear they never disbanded so many years ago. I was actually at their final show in London (2004). They played for hours and at the end, announced they were disbanding and thanked us for attending their last show ever. Glad to know now that is not the case.

Okay, not my Macbook. A designer named Joshua Kaufman in Oakland, California's Macbook. See, on March 21st it was "stolen" by the douchebah in the photo above. Kaufman went to the cops and was told they couldn't help. So using a rad app called Hidden, he was conveniently able to record all movements and actions on the laptop remotely including the built-in webcam. He snapped some shots of the thief, created a blog and began tweeting. Next thing you know Good Morning America hops on the story and the cops suddenly show up willing to help. On June 1st they "caught the thief" and got the laptop back. Now there are two ways to think about this story. 1) It's true or 2) It's an elaborate stunt to promote the Hidden app. Either way it's pretty cool.

Behind The Wall is a public binaural sound installation for JAYS HEADPHONES. Using headphone jacks placed in selected locations around Stockholm, it dares curious passersby to experience what actually goes on behind the wall. Wow, headphone sales must be really down to go out with an entire campaign!!! Good thing those ad guys happened along.

In the news today, an amphibious ice cream van was spotted sailing down the Thames past Parliament. The 'HMS Flake 99', as its been christened, will tour the UK delivering delicious ice-cold delights to all in a valiant attempt to create National Ice Cream Week. In other news, the Thames looks like everyone took a shit in it. Who's for a soft serve, eh?
