Honda Takes You Into The Unknown. Hmm...

This is a fascinating documentary series about how far humans push themselves, be into space, on earth or beneath it. There's even a part where Honda enables humans to control their ASIMO robot using only, wait for it... their minds. Yes. Mind control. Jeepers! More at http://dreams.honda.com

Something Truly Rad's Happening On Sunday Dec 5th At Wolves. Hmm...

Audi's Robotic TTS Climbs Pike's Peak. Hmm...

Big deal, right? Here's the kicker: THERE'S NO DRIVER! It's all done via robots. No remote. No pesky human controlling the car. Nada! Just gizmos and doodads. According to an article on Wired, the car uses differential GPS to track its location to within 2 centimeters. Wheel-speed sensors and an accelerometer measure its velocity and a gyroscope controls equilibrium and direction. The algorithms that make it all work run on hardware developed by Sun Microsystems. What does all that mean? Umm... I think it means the machines are about to take over. That, or some rich kid's gonna be getting one hell of a Christmas present this year!

In a related story, BMW did this over a year ago. Check it out!
