JR Is The 2011 TED Prize Winner. Hmm...
I've long been a fan of JR - an anonymous large scale street artist who travels to villages around the world, photographing the people who live there and learning their stories then pasting his striking images onto massive local canvases: buildings, buses, roads and bridges. Using his art for good, he builds mass awareness for people and places long forgotten by the media. It's no wonder he's just won this prestigious prize from the wonderful people at TED.
