White Men Can Yulelay. Hmm...

Gutter Bar Blowface. Hmm...

My friends and I have been doing this for years and it just seemed apropos at the Gutter Bar in Cannes last night. Everyone from young creatives to CEO's couldn't get enough of the blowface otherwise known as the ghost punch.

Okay, this one isn't a blowface. It's just Serg's face after seeing the bill for 6 drinks at Gutter Bar (R1500). Thank you company credit card.

Hmm... of the day

So I've been a little slack on the whole blogging thing lately and I must offer you all my most humble apologies. There's just too much hmm... going on here in Cannes to find even a moment to sit down at my laptop. Luckily, I have a few minutes to update you all on what's been going on.

Yesterday, was a lovely mix of talks, most notably the Improv Everywhere one - which was super cool and non-commercial, just saying Cannes organisers - shopping, eating, napping and taking over Morrisson's Bar to watch Bafana defeat France 2-1 in the FWC. We filled the streets with the sights and sounds of vuvuzelas, yulelaying (did I spell that correctly?) and dancing , happy Safa's. It was unreal. So much so that when a few of us decided to leave at half time to attend the Ben Stiller (yes, Zoolander himself) talk on creativity only to find that once we got to the Palais (the convention centre) South Africa had scored another goal, we turned right around and ran back to the bar where we spent the next few hours showing the French how to have a good time. A big thank you to the folks at DDB for organising the bar and the event and the free beer. Seriously. Beer is pricey here in Cannes.
