This QR Code showed up in a trailer for HBO's True Blood Season 3. It's the first time in the history of TV that a Designer QR Code has been used in a TV ad. Basically, if you have a smart enough phone, you take a photo of the code and it resolves to a mobile site where fans can watch a clip of True Blood Series 3.

Japan is crazy, especially when it comes to newspapers. Its biggest daily, Yomiuri Shimbun, has 10 times the circulation of The New York Times. And just like young people everywhere on earth, those in Japan aren’t reading newspapers as often as their parents do. Good thing the Japanese have a solution: Manga No Shimbun (Manga Newspaper), an online outfit that covers the week’s events in comic book form. Let's see if it works out.
