The real fashion police. Hmm...
I'll soon be spending a good chunk of time in northern Italy after 10 days in Cannes. I really hope I don't bump into these guys for the wrong reason. They're called the Carabinieri, a special division of the Italian Police force. Since the 80's their sweet-ass uniforms have been designed by either Giorgio Armani or Valentino and yes, that's a Lamborghini Gallardo they're driving. I really want to find them and get some rad pics! Apparently, they love posing for photos with tourists. Hopefully I'll get lucky or else I'll just have to commit some sort of heinous crime! Like ordering a cappuccino after lunch. That's a no no over there.
Media Arts presentation @ WITS. Hmm...
Last night I attended that Media Arts presentation at the Wits Digital Arts School I blogged about a few days ago. It was great to see some familiar faces in the audience and of course, to see my good friend Daniel doing what he does best, slapping that "how in the hell is that possible?" expression on everyone's faces. I mean, being in advertising, my job is to communicate and interact with people. Only I use what seems like ancient technology to do it. Sure, I dabble in the interactive digital stuff now and again but what Daniel does is create environments where people choose to interact with you, instead of being conned into doing so. So I say more Media Arts and less traditional crapvertising. Who knows, judging from the look on the faces of those who were at the presentation last night, it might make our planet a little happier on which to live. If you didn't make it, fret not. You can see all his radnokulously cool creations on his website: http://www.danielhirschmann.com
