Flying 101? Hmm...

So I'm sitting at George Airport, about to board my Kulula flight, and I see this.

Help.

Who tall am I? Hmm...

Kevin Costner. Damn.

Without a doubt, the hmm... of the day!

I kinda want a dog now. Hmm...

If you watch this and you're not smiling by the end, go back to your planet. We don't want you here.

Thank you to Mike and Casey for this little bit of happiness.

He-Man & The Masters Of The Universe Art Show? Hmm...

It's at Gallery 88 in LA. If you live in LA, I hate you.

That said, is anyone else creeped out by the Skeletor portrait?

iPhone vs Android. Hmm...

Hmm... of the day.

A way to deal with Joburg's potholes. Hmm...

If you can stencil, then you can help. The Urban Repair Squad has been stenciling around the many potholes in NYC, giving cyclists a heads up before they plant themselves into the asphalt.

I love this idea and it's one we can definitely do and must do, 'cos the Jo'burg municipality sure isn't going to lift a finger!

Sweet revenge. Hmm...

So I made the mistake thinking my snack drawer at the office was safe while I was away. Good thing I had a friend's pet monkey pee on all my candy before I left...

Travel light. Hmm...

Hello. Thought I'd share this with you. I scanned it out of an old Howies catalogue I found.

For those of you who don't know, Howies is a flippen awesome clothing brand in the UK. Besides creating rad clothes, they encourage you to be earth-friendly, happy and even to head to their workshop in Cardigan Bay, Wales, where you can hang out, help out, even borrow some books (they trust you to return them). They'll also lend you a bicycle so you can check out the area! If you can't get out there, their store in London (Carnaby Street) has all you could ever want, including free water! Pretty cool, no?

Here are some wallpapers from their site. Gives you a good idea of what they're about.

A circular bookshelf? Hmm...

Found this via Core77. It's the first mobile bookshelf, apparently. Why it exists, who knows? But I want one! It's just how I roll.

Then I found this one and decided I want it instead. I may also need a taller apartment.

Wolves? hmm...

About a month ago, some really good people I know opened up a place called Wolves. It's the kind of happy place that should exist in every city really.  As you enter you're met with the glorious scent of freshly made flat whites, delicious cakes and sandwiches. Your eyes spasm at the tons of tzaztkas, thingamabobs, doohickies, design books, indie music CD's and best of all, your brain is left with the notion that Cape Town, and thank goodness, isn't the only place in South Africa with awesome coffee shops.

Wolves also hosts boardgames nights, live music shows and even the occasional birthday party. Check out their blog for more: http://www.wolves.co.za

Their latest addition to the menu is a radonkulously tasty hot chocolate with the added bonus of a chocolate moustache stirrer. Now, wipe your drool and go get one!
