Us humans are pretty nosy creatures. We want to know everything about everyone and yet we're often afraid to share all of ourselves with anyone else, unless we're hiding behind a laptop screen. It's thoughts like these that sparked the idea of AnthroPosts, an amazing new digital art project by Noah Pedrini.
He collects Post It notes strewn on the streets of major cities around the world and digitises them online, adding voiceovers and music where appropriate to build and preserve hundreds of tiny moments in the lives of hundreds of strangers. Each note holds something personal of the strangers themselves: the way they write, how they capture ideas, their loves and fears and what their day looked like. It's described as a community created from forgotten notes but really, it's so much more. So far, he's collected Post It notes from 21 countries on 6 Continents and it's only the beginning.
