Broadband now a legal right in Finland. Hmm...
Not only is Finland an unbelievably beautiful country, it's now officially the first in the world to make broadband a fundamental legal right for every one of its citizens. Since July 1st, every Finn has enjoyed the right to access a 1Mbps broadband connection. Now that doesn't mean free internet. It just means no excuses like we seem to always get from Telkom or Neotel about broadband service not being available in certain areas. No matter where you live in Finland, there has to be broadband available. To add to the awesomness, Finland has also vowed to connect everyone to a 100Mbps connection by 2015 and get this, if they catch you downloading illegal files, all you get is a letter. They'll never cut off your access. That said, here are some cheap flights to Helsinki.
